HI4013-03 is a 500 mL bottle of premium quality 1000 ppm (mg/L) nitrate standard solution (as NO3).  Hanna ISE standards have the lot number and expiration date clearly marked on the label. Bottles are air tight with a tamper-proof seal to ensure the quality of the standard solution. Hanna’s line of standards have been specially formulated to have an expiration of 5 years from the date of manufacture for an unopened bottle.

HI4013-03 is a 1000 ppm (mg/L) standard solution of nitrate (as NO3-N) used to calibrate the nitrate liquid membrane combination ion selective electrode (ISE). Hanna ISE standard solutions are manufactured with high purity chemicals and bottled in our own state-of-the-art facility.

ISEs require calibration for accurate readings when performing measurement techniques such as direct measurement and incremental methods. Calibration of up to two points is recommended for enhanced accuracy. Volumetric glassware can be used to make dilutions of standard solutions to bracket the expected concentration of the sample to be measured. ISE calibration standards and sample solutions should always have the same ionic strength; the exact volume of ionic strength adjuster (ISA) must be added to all standards and samples prior to measurement.
